Located on the busy Abbeygate Street, the shop has been operating in the city for 29 years, Oxfam Galway has something for everyone. We have a wide variety of Vintage clothing, Books, Pre-loved menswear and womenswear, Brand-New/Like-New clothing section and of course. Our ever popular Brand-New Jewellery, accessories and Sunglasses section. All for the fashion forward and sustainability conscious shopper. It’s a must visit when visiting the city.

We have a dedicated team of volunteers and staff who will help you find what you need.Our volunteers are the heart of our shop. Our shops are a hive of activity with lots of chats and opportunities to meet new people, learn new skills and of course, have plenty of fun along the way.

We work closely with schools and colleges to provide customer service and retail experience to students who wish to complete internships and work placements.

VOLUNTEER

Our shop offers a friendly and welcoming environment and volunteering here is always a positive experience. We have had many volunteers over the years and many of which, still come back to visit and see how to shop is after their volunteering has concluded. It's a great way to meet people and make new friends for life.

What we offer:
Retail Team Member/Leader - This is our internship position designed to students who want to fully immerse themselves in the everyday working of Charity Retail. (20+ Hours per week)
Retail Team Assistant - Customer Service/ Merchandising for a more casual experience.( 4 hours min per week)
Stockroom member - Help out with processing in the back room, providing our shop floor with the best we can offer! (4 hours min per week)
