This ceasefire cannot be a temporary pause in violence but must be a permanent end to the bloodshed, suffering and destruction wreaked on the people of Gaza over these past two years.
Stop the Gaza Blockade, End the Occupation
Irish people have been firm in their support and now is not the time to waver.
The ceasefire in Gaza must be accompanied by concrete steps to end Israel’s illegal occupation and blockade, and to protect human rights across the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
We need full access to deliver lifesaving supplies immediately. The borders must be opened, and full access must be granted. The amount of fuel, clean water, food, medicine, and other supplies permitted to enter Gaza is far below what is needed to meet urgent humanitarian needs.

- A lasting and permanent ceasefire in Palestine.
- Immediate and widespread access to lifesaving humanitarian aid, including food, water and fuel.
- An end to Israel’s illegal occupation and the systemic oppression of Palestinians.
The world’s most powerful states cannot continue to be complicit in the starvation, displacement and bombing of an entire population.
