Oxfam Ireland will open brand new Belfast Outlet at Cityside this month for second-hand and value shoppers
The new outlet will open its doors at Cityside Retail Park in North Belfast on Saturday, 14 November.
The new store will bring Oxfam Ireland's new outlet concept to Belfast, offering shoppers an even bigger destination for responsible and affordable shopping.
Following on from the success of Oxfam Ireland's Holywood Superstore in Co. Down, which was Oxfam Irelands first large footprint store, which opened in March 2024; the new Cityside Outlet will provide Belfast shoppers with a one-stop destination for bargain hunting.
The outlet will also support Oxfam's work to fight inequality and help communities experiencing poverty, conflict and climate-related crises around the world.
The new store opening on November 14th is expected to launch a hub for Belfast’s passionate second-hand fashion fans and middle aisle bargain shoppers. Oxfam Ireland hopes to give local communities an opportunity to reduce waste and support a good cause with every purchase.
“The Oxfam Outlet will offer a one-stop shop for great-value bargains on everything from clothing to homewares, from furniture to books and everything in between. It will allow our customers to save money, protect the planet and directly support Oxfam's mission to fight inequality and end poverty and injustice, all at the same time.”— Tony Angus, District Retail Manager at Oxfam Ireland.
The new store is designed to reward Oxfam's loyal customer base across Belfast while welcoming new supporters to the long-standing organisation.
“We already have a number of very successful retail stores in the Belfast area and we wanted to reward our loyal customer base with a brand-new concept store that enhances their shopping experience with Oxfam Ireland. At the same time, we hope to attract even more customers and supporters to join our mission with open arms.”
The strong performance of Oxfam Ireland's first Superstore in Holywood, Co. Down (inside pictured above) two years ago has demonstrated the growing demand for quality second-hand shopping.
“The huge success of our Holywood Superstore confirmed our understanding of the appetite for more responsible shopping options across the wider community and allowed us to invest in our new Outlet with confidence.
“Our Belfast volunteers, customers and donors are well known for their sense of individuality and deep community pride. They have embraced second-hand shopping as an opportunity to be creative - while supporting important local and global causes by making reuse a celebrated lifestyle choice. We are grateful for their encouragement.”
The Cityside Outlet will also provide a much-needed new destination for donations, helping to give unwanted items a second life while raising vital funds for Oxfam's work around the world.
Oxfam Ireland is encouraging shoppers, supporters and eagle-eyed bargain hunters alike to visit the brand new store when it opens on Saturday, November 14th.
