Oxfam Ireland and An Post are encouraging people across Ireland to make gifting go a little further by donating unwanted items before and after Christmas through the free PostBack scheme.
Having already seen over 30,000 bags ordered since its launch in April 2025, the convenient initiative has created a much-welcome boost in donations.
Whether it’s pre-loved clothes, accessories, or gifts that didn’t quite hit the mark; PostBack makes it easy to give these items a second home. Simply pack your items and send them free of charge via An Post to Oxfam Ireland, where they will be resold in Oxfam shops to raise vital funds for global poverty-fighting projects and emergency responses.
Why PostBack?
You can choose to arrange a free collection from home or to drop your parcel at any An Post location or, making the scheme incredibly convenient at a busy time. PostBack is totally free - it’s a simple way to make a big impact at no personal cost.
It also allows you to embrace sustainability with ease. You can reduce waste and help protect the planet by keeping items in circulation for far longer.

How to Donate:
- Go to www.oxfamireland.org/Postback or search “PostBack” to order your bag.
- Gather your unwanted items - clothing, accessories, homeware and small gifts.
- Pack them securely in your PostBack Bag.
- Visit www.oxfamireland.org/Postback to book your free collection.
- An Post will come to your home on your selected date with a free returns label
