The Role

Oxfam Ireland is looking for a Shop Manager to join our charity shop in Dundrum. Someone who wants to do good, work with volunteers and make their shop part of the local community.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, supervising and motivating a team of volunteers to ensure sales targets are met and profitability is maximised. You will ensure high standards of customer service, as well as overseeing product pricing and stock sourcing through donations. You will be responsible for managing budgets while maintaining statistical and financial records and be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, preparing promotional materials and displays and liaising with Head Office.

Our next Shop Manager will require a range of skills and experience:
  • Demonstrable experience of retail management in a related sector to include:
  • Budgets and sales analysis
  • Product knowledge and trend awareness
  • Merchandising
  • Experience of staff management and motivating teams to achieve sales
  • Communication and networking both internally and external of the business
  • Strong commercial ability and product knowledge

The Role

Oxfam Ireland is looking for a Deputy Shop Manager to join our charity shop in Cook Street (Cork). Working under the direction of the Shop Manager, the Deputy Shop Manager will be responsible for sales and profit at the shop, customer service, store operations and supervising a team. The Deputy Shop Manager will also be responsible for achieving retail targets by driving sales and delivering excellent customer service to customers.

Our next Deputy Shop Manager will require a range of skills and experience:
  • Relevant deputy management/supervisor experience in a fashion retail environment
  • Experience of following financial procedures including cash handling and budget/sales analysis
  • Trend awareness, visual merchandising and attention to detail
  • Good organisational and administration skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a larger team
