Direct Dialogue fundraising is currently playing a very important role in enabling Oxfam Ireland to beat poverty.

Job purpose: Direct Dialogue fundraising is currently playing a very important role in enabling Oxfam Ireland to achieve our fundraising targets, and allowing us to maximise the benefits for those most in need.

The post will involve:
  • Recruiting donors door to door to support Oxfam Ireland through direct debit regular gifts.
  • Informing, inspiring and engaging the Irish public about the crucial work Oxfam Ireland is carrying out.
  • Representing Oxfam Ireland always in a friendly, courteous and professional manner at all times, and abiding by the fundraising code of conduct and established protocols.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage and inspire, and very strong spoken English.
  • A passion for Oxfam Ireland's work, knowledge of emergency/developmental aid issues is beneficial also though non essential.
  • An outgoing personality, enjoy interacting with members of the public and working outdoors within a team dynamic.
  • Experience within direct dialogue is a definite advantage, though non essential as full training is provided.
Rate of pay: €13.13 - €15.15 an hour

The Role
The Digital Engagement Manager will manage the implementation and ongoing evaluation of a digital engagement strategy for Oxfam, ensuring agreed objectives are met or surpassed across trading, fundraising, communications and campaigns.


The successful candidate will have:
Third level qualification in multimedia communications, digital marketing, ICT or related discipline
Minimum of 1 years’ experience of supervising and/or managing people, with the ability to motivate and develop their skills
A proven track record in delivering and evaluating online marketing strategies with a positive ROI
Experience in online lead generation, donor acquisition and supporter journey development
An excellent working knowledge and experience of all elements involved in online production is required: graphic design, programming and content creation.
Strong background in online communications with a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in producing websites and managing large-scale digital projects.
Excellent attention to detail, advanced knowledge of digital analytics and reporting tools

The Role
The Digital Content Marketing Executive will contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of an evolving inbound digital content marketing strategy for Oxfam Ireland in order to maximise brand awareness, engagement sentiment and online income for the organisation. 
To this end, the post holder will contribute to the implementation of a strategic and tactical digital content programme across Oxfam’s website, social networks and email communications and support full integration with offline communications, fundraising initiatives and campaigns.

The successful candidate will have:
Third level qualification in Digital Communications, Marketing or a related field
Minimum of 1 year’s recent experience in a Content Marketing role
Positive team player and experience of collaborative working with ability to initiate, develop and sustain positive and productive working relationships with a wide range of people.
Excellent communication skills to include excellent writing skills with a special understanding of writing for the web.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical and reporting skills
Extensive working knowledge of social media and experience in using social channels to achieve meaningful online engagement
A demonstrable knowledge of current and emerging SEO techniques and the implications on content creation to ensure high ranking on SERPs.

The Role

Oxfam Ireland is looking for three Shop Managers based in Dublin (George’s Street, Ringsend, Talbot Street) who want to do good, work with volunteers and make their shops part of the local community. We are looking for someone with strong verbal communication skills who loves working with people and can motivate a team of volunteers to achieve their sales target.

The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training and supervising a team of volunteers. They will be expected to manage budgets while maintaining statistical and financial records. All shops managers will be responsible for dealing with customer queries and complaints as well as overseeing product pricing and stock sourcing through donations while maximising profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating volunteers to do so. The shop manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, preparing promotional materials and displays and liaising with head office.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience of retail management in a related sector
  • Proven track record of managing sales analysis, budgets, P&L, rotas and recruitment
  • Previous relevant experience in product knowledge and trend awareness to generate sales
  • Previous relevant experience in merchandising and social media to increase sales
  • Experience of staff management, building teams and motivating teams to achieve sales
