Fashion Relief

Thank you for making our first ever Fashion Relief event such a success!

All of you who attended, volunteered or donated items for sale at the recent extravaganza in Dublin’s RDS have so far helped us to raise over 45,000 Euro for those in need of urgent help in South Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria and Yemen. You are amazing!

Thanks also to all those who bid for one of the terrific items in our online auction – including Cillian Murphy’s Peaky Blinders cap; Ireland rugby icon Rob Kearney’s Leinster jersey; and an Alexander McQueen limited edition clutch purse valued at €2,000, donated by Fashion Relief founder Lorraine Keane…

We are so grateful for all your ongoing support. Together we are making a real difference to the lives of so many people living in poverty.

Thank you!

What is Fashion Relief?

Hosted by Lorraine Keane, FASHION RELIEF is a unique opportunity to browse through the wardrobes of Ireland’s favourite fashion and lifestyle personalities and bag yourself a bargain.

With pre-loved donations from the stars and brand-new items from designers and retailers across the nation, this is a day-long public sale selling a wide-range of designer and high-street clothes, bags and accessories – and all profits will go directly to the hunger crisis appeal.

Many of the celebrities and influencers involved will be staffing their own stall so you can buy your new favourite bag, jumper, dress or shoes straight from the fashion-savvy owner.

FASHION RELIEF is on Sunday 13th May in Hall 3 of the RDS, Dublin 4 from 11am until 5pm. Entry €5, under 12s go free.

The must-have designer bargains on offer will be showcased at two fashion shows throughout the day – often modelled by the stars who donated them. Fashion show times: 1pm and 3pm.

Why support Fashion Relief?

Because a big problem demands a big response.

Right now, the world is facing unprecedented levels of hunger as drought, disaster, famine and conflict threaten the lives of millions of people. Across East Africa, north-east Nigeria and Yemen approximately 30 million people are experiencing alarming hunger, surviving only on what they can find to eat.

But in the midst of all this, life-saving and life-changing aid is providing help and hope thanks to the ongoing generosity of the Irish public.

FASHION RELIEF hopes to mobilise people to donate and shop to ensure maximum impact for those in need across East Africa and beyond. The profits raised will provide essential aid like food, water, shelter and sanitation to those suffering.
