Festival Volunteers

If you’re passionate about ending poverty, and want to attend some of the best festivals in Ireland this summer - then we want you!

Oxfam is going to be at some of the biggest festivals across Ireland this summer, highlighting our work with refugees and people caught up in humanitarian crises while inspiring festival-goers to join our movement for change. Right now, we are recruiting volunteers to be part of our campaigning team at these festivals.

Festival volunteers need to be friendly, a good communicator, reliable and committed to helping to build a world without the injustice of poverty. As a volunteer campaigner, you’ll engage with festival-goers on our Right to Refuge Campaign, asking them to stand with people who have been forced to flee their homes because of conflict and disaster.

All festival volunteers must be 18 or over on the day of the event. No previous experience is needed and all festival volunteers will be required to attend training in Oxfam’s office in Dublin in advance of attendance at any festival. Details of each training session will be sent to successful applicants.

Volunteering with Oxfam is fun and rewarding, you’ll be part of a fantastic team and know you are doing your bit to change the world. Plus, you will get to attend some of the biggest festivals of the year for free – you’ll have time off at each event to enjoy the music and atmosphere.

If you have questions, please get in touch with the festivals team at festivals@oxfamireland.org.

After many years, Oxfam has closed it festival stewarding programme. We want to thank all our fabulous, hard-working stewards who have joined us over the years and raised many thousands to help lift people out of poverty. Former stewards are welcome to apply to our festivals campaign team, or find out more about other volunteering opportunities here.
