Join our Retail Team, a community of volunteers who are ready and able to support our varied range of retail activities across our Oxfam Shops. Bring your enthusiasm and skills to support everything from creating and managing social media content to shining a light on donated goods and events to promoting the goals of the organisation. Together, we can be a global movement of people challenging inequality to end poverty and injustice for good.

 

What you will be doing 

Supporting shop manager(s) with daily activities by helping manage and create content within organisational communication guidelines for the store social media profiles, promoting the shop and showcasing stock and events to help drive footfall and community engagement.

  • Sharing weekly posts on the shop social media accounts
  • Promoting in-store stock, special items and upcoming events
  • Managing a consistent and engaging shop social media presence

 

The skills you need

  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently with guidance and support
  • Good communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and an interest in learning
  • Patient, flexible and reliable
  • Good IT/Social Media skills with the ability to create and upload and manage content
  • Ability to recognise when to ask for support or raise concerns if required
  • Ability to respect others’ differences and choices
