Our Recruitment Process
Oxfam Ireland aim to recruit the best available person for the job in a fair and consistent manor and recruits by using both internal and external means. We have a systematic, competency based, step by step process to allow fair and equal treatment of all candidates which means we are compliant with all current legislation in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland
There are a number of steps to our recruitment process as detailed below:
Step 1
:
Request, complete and return application form before the closing date.
Step 2:
All returned application forms will be shortlisted by the recruitment panel - all panels have at least 2 members of staff.
Step 3:
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview.
Step 4:
Competency based interview - on some occasions there will be testing carried out at this stage. All candidates are advised if there is to be a test.
Step 5:
On some occasions there will be second interviews; however this is not standard practice.
Step 6:
Offer of employment to the successful candidate - subject to receipt of satisfactory references.
Step 7:
Once reference have been received and are deemed satisfactory by the recruitment panel a start date is confirmed.

- Unless applicants receive notification within 3 weeks of the specified closing date, please assume you have been unsuccessful. In the interest of economy individual letters will not be sent.
