Trek Kilimanjaro: 19,000ft – 12 day trek – 10 people
The Challenges … Climbing Kilimanjaro & Raising £30,000/€44,000
The Trek Kilimanjaro team have completed their arduous challenge to climb the highest free standing mountain in the world. It was a tough but incredibly rewarding experience, made all the more enjoyable by the great team spirit and the support of a wonderful group of local guides and porters.
The team raised over €100,000/£80,000 for Oxfam’s work with poor communities throughout East, Central and Southern Africa. On the final day of their trip, they visited an Oxfam funded organisation, Kiwakukki, that works with people living and affected by HIV and AIDS.

Oxfam Gig, Empire Music Hall:
Oxfam Ireland wish to say a big thank you to all those who took part in our Trek Kilimanjaro fundraiser. We rose over £700 and we couldn’t have done it without the help of the acts who played. DJ Paul Geraghty began the night; this was followed by sets from Tree, Team Fresh and The Jahm Band. The Empire Music Hall provided a great venue and we would like to thank the management especially Stevie, Susan and Dee for their co- operation and donations.
