We've had some readers asking about how to post a comment - so here goes, in five easy steps!

1. Under the blog entry you want to comment on, click the underlined green link that states the time the blog was posted and the number of comments posted so far.
2. In the new page you will see a large box on the right hand side headed Leave Your Comment - do just that.
3. In the Word Verification box type the slightly distorted letters that you see above the box.
4. Click on the Name/URL option and enter your name. If you wish to remain anonymous, click on the Anonymous option.
5. Finally, click on Publish Your Comment.

Dear Fairtrade woman. I think you're doing a great job. Did you try the muesli fried in Fairtrade red wine yet ? I believe it was Mr Fairtrade Man's worst meal of 2007 !! But, just for the craic, why not come down to Superquinn's HQ in Lucan on Friday at noon when we'll be doing some discrete pix with Superquinn staff and 2 cocoa from Ghana, to commemorate them listing the Divine Fairtrade chocolate. Go Luck, and make sure you get some Equal Exchange Fairtrade Organic peanut butter from Dunnes in Cornelscourt on your toast. mmmmmmm !! Alan Clayton

I have just bought some Fairtrade Divine chocolate and it was divine, especially the orange and the hazlenut variety! I now buy only Fairtrade coffee and tea and am delighted with the fact that Marks and Spencers Cafe Revive only serve Fairtrade coffee. I intend to try Fairtrade peanut butter as soon as possible

Fair dues to you Fairtrade woman. I don't know how you do it. I do try buy fair trade but sometimes I'm lazy and rather than walking an extra 15 min each way to buy fair trade chocolate I'll just grab whatever is on the shelf of my local shop. It is something that I really have to work on...and just annoy the life out of the local shops til they all supply fair trade produce too. Either that or get my local tescos to stay open 24hour so I can satisfy my late night cravings, both my local m&s and tescos are great on the old fair trade.

respect.

BUT. If you have to give instructions on how to post a comment, you are probably not reaching the types who read blogs. It is difficult and tricky to present a blog that has a corporate message, as yours has, while having the interactivity and intuitiveness of regular blogs. The Guardian has a reasonable compromise.

Off the top of my head, you need links, a blog roll and the blog should be presented in a different format from the rest of the oxfam site, thus making it more personal and less corporate.

just some thoughts

(the fact that all muesli posts are credited to 'eilis' while this one is credited to 'oxfam ireland' is a bit faceless.
