increase the awareness of the
FAIRTRADE Mark and to encourage
people up and down the country to

By making Fairtrade your habit, you are having a direct impact on the lives of farmers and workers in the developing world.
Oxfam Ireland Fair Trade shops will be running various activities to promote the Fortnight so remember to stop by and stock up on Fairtrade food and drink products.

BELFAST FAIR TRADE CITY
The Belfast Fair Trade city group is
currently working hard on its application to
become a Fair Trade city under Irish

Foundation, but the Steering group wants
Belfast to achieve dual Fair Trade city

CORK CITY WELCOMES NEW OXFAM IRELAND FAIRTRADE SHOP
The latest jewel in our Fairtrade
crown opened on French Church St,
Cork city last December. Cutting the
red ribbon on opening day was Lord
Mayor Deirdre Klune who gave a
brief speech welcoming the new
shop into Cork and praising the
hard work and dedication of the
volunteers who had worked to get
the shop opened.
Shop manager Maggie Daly and the volunteer staff had a wonderfully busy Christmas season and the shop performed well above all expectations.
The new Fairtrade shop is
currently recruiting volunteers, a
great way to get involved in
promoting Fair Trade.

shop directly if you would like to
