Fundraising Events Internship – Trailtrekker

Location: Dublin
Reporting to: Community Development & Events Manager
Allowance: Local transport costs and lunch
Duration: November 2013 – April 2014
Hours: 10-4pm, 5 days per week

About the internship
 
The Fundraising department is looking for an enthusiastic individual to work with the Community Events team on the Trailtrekker 2014 recruitment and marketing campaign. 
 
Role outline 
 
  • Assisting with team recruitment
  • Responding to email, telephone, web and text enquiries from new and existing teams
  • Preparing team fundraising materials, corporate packs and team packs
  • Recording data in various locations and ensuring accurate data input
  • Managing mailings
  • Sharing insights 
  • Guiding volunteers from time to time
 
Key Skills
 
  • Fluent English and good telephone manner are essential
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • An interest in marketing or fundraising in general
  • Accuracy in written work and data processing
  • Strong organizational skills and self motivated
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and try new things
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • An interest in Oxfam’s work and a desire to end poverty and injustice
 
Desirable
 
  • An interest in the outdoors
  • An interest in challenge events
