What's green and white but will have you tickled pink?
They're certainly white, they are most definitely green and they are sure to have you tickled pink with delight, as Oxfam Ireland, in partnership with Bryson House, has just launched a fabulous new scheme to stock quality environmentally refurbished white goods at the Oxfamhome shop on Belfast's Dublin Road.
As well as being fantastic value for money, each household appliance in stock - whether it is a fridge, a freezer, a washing machine or a tumble dryer - has been thoroughly checked over and comes with a full 6 month warranty. Oxfam Ireland can even deliver your newly-purchased appliance to your door.
"As people upgrade their appliances, they are often unsure how to dispose of their previous ones", states Michael Sloan, Oxfam Ireland 's District Retail Manager. "But with this new service Oxfam Ireland and Bryson House can help - Bryson House can collect your machine from your house and deliver it for sale to the public in our Oxfamhome shop.
"The scheme will provide affordable value goods for local people in need, create more jobs and training in the community here and also generate funds for Oxfam Ireland 's overseas projects. By buying these excellent quality white goods from Oxfamhome or by donating appliances, you will also be helping the fight against poverty and injustice in the developing world.
"This launch is also great news for the environment, reducing the amount of potentially hazardous waste by ensuring that white goods which are in perfect working order would not needlessly make their way to landfill when they could instead be making money for such a worthwhile cause.
"The scheme is already off to a flying start, as 3 out of our first 5 appliances sold in just one day during our recent trial period", announced Michael Sloan.
If you want to purchase quality white goods at excellent prices then you simply must visit the Oxfamhome shop on the Dublin Road in Belfast ; or if you have an appliance you would like to donate to Oxfam Ireland , simply call 028 9032 5546 or contact Bryson White Goods Recycling on (028) 9075 3742.
