Poems for 2008: Competition Rules
- Entries should consist of a previously unpublished poem of no more than twenty lines.
- All entries must be typewritten in English/Irish.
- The poem should not have previously won, or be currently entered into, any other competition.
- Entries are limited to THREE per entrant. A separate entry form and payment must accompany each entry.
- All entries must be anonymous and should be accompanied by an entry form (ie the author's identity must only appear on the entry form, and not with the poem).
- A €5 fee must accompany each entry. Cheques/postal orders payable to Oxfam Ireland.
- All entries must be received on or before Tuesday, July 31st 2007.
- Please keep a copy of your poem, as no entries can be returned. No correspondence will be entered into once work has been submitted. Poems cannot be altered or changed after they have been entered.
- While copyright remains with the author, the six winning poems may be published or broadcast at the discretion of the organisers during 2007/2008.
- Winners will be announced before the end of September 2007.
- Entry in the Competition will be deemed to be acceptance of these rules.
