Oxfamhome Dublin: Vintage Radiogram

February 11th, 2011

Bird?Plane? Ipod docking station? Naah!sideview, classic music facilities
It’s a ‘radiogram’ – A Bush SRG 140 radiogram from the 60s, to be precise.

The radio and the record player both work and if you have the room in your living room to display this with the pride that it deserves, please buy it!

It’s a sideboard when you close down the lid, so it could easily be justified to wives or girlfriends as having many functions and being a wonderful surface on which to put vases, ornaments, and the like. (We sell them too!) 175euro for a piece of furniture that keeps on giving!

This, and all our electrical items have been tested by a certified electrician.

Oxfamhome Dublin: A typewriter that Jessica Fletcher would love!

February 11th, 2011

Could've been Kafka's; use your imagination!

sideways photo of sideview (could make a person dizzy)
A typewriter could bring out the novelist in you. Especially this one:we think it’s from the 1930s, it’s German and has the normal qwerty layout UND the extra German characters as well!

Comes with a lid that comes down over it to make a carry case which technically means it’s “portable’ – portable in a wheelbarrow perhaps.

It works, it looks beautiful and it would make an excellent present for any creative writer in your life; even if it’s just to be an inspiring ornament. 65euro.
