Why Donate Furniture?

  • If Oxfamhome sells a piece of furniture, the proceeds will go to support our overseas work. Find out more about exactly what your donations can do.
  • A donation will keep large items out of landfill and reduce your carbon footprint
  • Remember that Reusing is preferable to Recycling: your piece of furniture could still have a long and useful life in another person’s home

If you have a large item that you would like us to collect, please fill out a collection form and we will contact you to arrange the pick-up. Belfast Collection Form

Donating Furniture to Oxfamhome

Oxfamhome depends on your donations.  We welcome good-quality:

  • furniture (large and small pieces)
  • bric-a-brac
  • tableware and ceramics
  • artwork
  • antiques

As well as the items above, Oxfamhome in Dublin can also accept:

  • small household goods such as picture frames
  • textiles (such as curtains, sewing fabric, rugs)
  • books
  • music

Like all Oxfam shops, we only offer good quality items for sale, and so need to ensure that donations are of saleable quality. Also because we have limited space, it is always advisable to call us before you come to the shop with a large item.  We can let you know whether we have space for it, and if we can’t accept it we can give you advice on alternative ways of disposing of it. We really appreciate your donations and don’t want  you to make an unneccessary journey! We regret that we cannot accept second-hand baby furniture, as all baby furniture must be sold with safety accreditation.
