7 – 18 December: COPENHAGEN 15 Summit on Climate Change. Oxfam’s media team in Copenhagen are offering a number of high impact photo, filming and radio interview opportunities, interviews with people affected by climate change from all regions of the world and Oxfam experts available including Oxfam Ireland's Policy Coordinator Colin Roche (currently in Copenhagen)

16 December: Revealed – the dodgy gifts of Christmas past - New Oxfam Ireland Unwrapped survey reveals the least-loved presents!

21 December: OXFAM REPORT: The Verdict on Climate Change Negotiations after the Copenhagen Summit.  

26 December: Tsunami Anniversary. Five years after the tsunami, life has got back to normal in the worst hit area of Aceh in northern Indonesia, thanks in part to the massive display of public generosity.  Available prior to Dec 24th.

January (date tbc): Oxfam report on financing crisis for education in poor countries. Learning the lessons of past mistakes in education and health, Oxfam will set out a new blueprint to help reach the education Millennium Development Goals.  

1 to 7 February: Oxfam Ireland’s Husky Sled Challenge is a once-in-a-lifetime challenge – sledding over 200 kilometres of pristine snow with a team of huskies, and a chance of falling asleep under the Northern Lights.

14 February: Valentine's Day - Make your Valentine's Day gift a Fair Trade one this year - jewellery, accessories, chocolates, sweets for your sweet - check out Oxfam Fair Trade stores (in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Belfast) for a unique Valentine's gift this year.

22 February - 3rd March: Fairtrade Fortnight - make this the time you swap just one regular item for a Fair Trade version; change your tea, chocolate bar, honey, cotton T-shirt, ide cream, even your knickers - there's so much to choose from it's easy to make a swap! www.oxfamirelandshop.com

25 February: Oxfambridal fashion show - Oxfambridal is calling all brides-to-be and fashionistas to a fun-filled bridal fashion show in Dublin’s Fallon & Byrne on the 25th February to showcase the extensive range of wedding gowns on sale in the stores at George's Street, Dublin, and at Bangor, Co Down.  

8 March: International Women’s Day. Ten years on, the Millennium Development Goal on maternal mortality is way off track; the number of women dying in pregnancy and childbirth has barely changed since 1990, despite the MDG commitment to reduce the number of deaths by three quarters.  

March (date tbc): OXFAM REPORT: Financing for Development and Aid. Oxfam flagship report tackling the aid sceptics, showing that aid works and why more is needed.
