Musicians! Get your music heard by the nation, with Oxjam and Hot Press CD competition

As part of October's Oxjam D.I.Y. music festival, which is set to launch this Thursday (September 25th), Oxjam is now offering you the chance to appear on a fab new Hot Press CD alongside your favourite performers.
Oxfam Ireland is looking for six of Ireland 's most talented up-and-coming acts to feature on a special Oxjam CD that will come with every copy of a forthcoming issue of Hot Press, the indispensable publication about music (and more besides).
The six acts will be chosen by a judging panel, and will appear on a 12-track CD with six of Ireland 's leading artists, including such hot new bands such as The Coronas and David Geraghty as well as stalwarts of the music scene The Stunning.
To be in with a chance of appearing on the Oxjam CD, just send one song (mp3 or CD), a short biography and contact details by email to oxjam [at] hotpress.ie or by post to Oxjam Opportunity, Hot Press, 13 Trinity St , Dublin 2. The closing date for receipt of entries is Monday, October 6 th so be quick! On Thursday September 25th, there will be a special lunchtime gig at Oxfam Ireland's shop in Dublin Road, Belfast, featuring performers from the Belfast Urban Collective, followed in early October by music video website MUZU TV unveiling its dedicated Oxjam music channel at www.muzu.tv with a special evening of live acts from its Dublin studio.
