The wait is over - "Oxfambooks: Poems for 2008"

Oxfambooks is proud to announce the arrival of the Poems for 2008 calendar.

The six new winning poets - Mary Barnecutt, Olive Broderick, Mike Casey, Ted McCarthy, Michael Massey and David Mohan - are published alongside the esteemed Tony Curtis, Seamus Heaney, Jean O' Brien, Nessa O' Mahony, Mary O'Malley and Paul Perry.

The 12 visual artists who generously contributed their work this year are Margo Banks, Shane Blount, Elizabeth Comerford, Al Freney, Cormac Healy, Marty Kelly, Josip Lizatovic, Gerard McCourty, Eoin McHugh, Cian McLoughlin, Leonard Sexton and Emrys Williams.

Last year the calendar raised over €7,000 for Oxfam Ireland 's work in developing countries. This year we hope to raise more.

The new "Poems for 2008" calendars will be stocked in most Oxfam shops around the country.
