Oxfam Ireland's Global Village - Ireland's largest international trading market -will once again be open for business at this year's Dun Laoghaire Festival of World Cultures. The Global Village is a festival highlight and introduces audiences to the diverse range of local and international food and craft now available in Ireland.

Global Village highlights include Slovakian handcrafts, homemade Italian delicacies, Palestinian home-handcrafted pottery and hand-carved olive wood decorations. Eat yourself around the planet with foodie delights from the Caribbean as well as Irish-grown corn on the cob and French crepes and pastries.

For the three-day Festival, audiences will be able to 'chill out' in the Oxfam Fairtrade Café. The walls of the Café will be covered with a range of plants grown throughout Ireland by Oxfam Ireland supporters who have been 'growing for Africa'. The plants will be on sale with all proceeds going to Oxfam Ireland's overseas programme work. Fairtrade tea and coffee and a range of festival snacks will be available in the café.
The Oxfam Ireland Global Village will be at the Dun Laoghaire Festival of World Cultures from August 25 -26, 2007
