Oxfam Ireland's Fair Trade Freight

Award winning Belfast company Campbell Freight has stepped in to help Oxfam Ireland in their new venture to supply on-line customers with Fair Trade products.

Oxfam Ireland, who have spearheaded the campaign for Fair Trade Ireland, has seen the demand for Fair Trade products here rise significantly. Based on the success of Fair Trade sales in their four shops, Oxfam has now decided to offer almost 100 of their best selling products online - and shipped directly to the customer.

Marshall Boyd, Sales Director of Campbell Freight said today:

"We are delighted to be able to help Oxfam Ireland bring more Fair Trade products to Oxfam's customers. This is a deviation from our core business of air, ocean and overland forwarding but when Oxfam Ireland made us aware of the increased demand for Fair Trade products we were only too happy to help."
"Recent investment in IT by Campbell Freight has meant that from receiving an order online on the Oxfam website we will have the product delivered to the customer's door step within 5 days anywhere in the UK and Ireland."

Margaret Carr of Oxfam Ireland said today:

"On the success of the Oxfam Fair Trade shops in Belfast, Dublin and Galway, we recently opened an additional outlet in Cork. Now we can offer our customers so much more. By selling through www.oxfamirelandshop.com, we are making Fair Trade accessible to many more people who don't have the time to get to our outlets. Since we opened our Fair Trade only shops in 2002 Oxfam Ireland sales are now over 1Million Euro representing a 50% growth in sales".
