Downtown Radio's Candy Devine opens New Look
Oxfam Ormeau Road Shop
Candy Devine officially re-opened the popular and newly refurbished Oxfam Ireland shop at 389 Ormeau Road, Belfast.
The ceremony was also attended by Oxfam Ireland's Director Dr. Brian Scott, Retail Manager, Mr. Trevor Anderson, shop Manager Anne Fitzpatrick, and many of the local volunteers. The charity shop first came to Ormeau Road more than 20 years ago.
'The new-look shop is a tribute to the hard work put in by the people of Ormeau Road over the years in supporting Oxfam's vital work overseas. I hope it continues for many years to come, ' said Brian Scott, Executive Director Of Oxfam Ireland.
The newly-refurbished shop - which boasts bright and inviting décor - carries a complete new range of clothing for men, women and children including top-of-the range designer labels at rock- bottom prices. Refurbishment was carried out by local company Portview Maintenance.
Trevor Anderson, Manager of Oxfam Ireland's 44 shops countrywide said that he was 'absolutely delighted' with how well the shop had turned out and paid tribute to the volunteers who had put so much effort into the re-opening and into the running of the shop down through the years. 'The new look shop' Mr. Anderson said 'should help to ensure that Oxfam Ireland would be able to contribute even more to the developing world.'
