How it works
The animation tells you exactly how it works, but the long and the short of it is that Oxfam and M&S have teamed up to help shoppers support the world’s poorest people. Just bring your old M&S clothes or soft furnishings to an Oxfam shop and we’ll exchange them for a €7 voucher in the Republic of Ireland or a £5 voucher in Northern Ireland to use at M&S.
It’s a nice, simple way to clear out your home, save money, reduce waste and raise heaps of money for Oxfam.
Vouchers are valid during the calendar month in which they are received, and are deducted from a purchase of €50/£35 or more on clothing, home and beauty products in participating M&S stores.
What’s in it for you?
Well, the £5/€7 voucher will do for starters. But this offer is about more than money…
- Get a great feeling from recycling clothes you no longer need to raise funds to help people living in poverty.
- Reduce waste. Thousands of tonnes of clothing are discarded every year, a lot of which are good enough quality to be re-sold or recycled.
- Be part of Plan A: you will be helping M&S achieve part of their five-year plan to make M&S carbon-neutral, ethical and sustainable.
- Did you know M&S customers currently donate thousands of items of clothing to Oxfam every year? This means you may be rewarded for something you are doing already!
Oxfam shops can’t re-sell lingerie, socks, underwear or damaged or soiled items so please don’t bring these types of clothes. But they’ll happily receive any other clothing!
