FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS

Are you interested in fighting poverty and injustice at some of the biggest gigs and festivals this summer? Then why not sign up to volunteer with us?

Over the next few months our friendly team of festival volunteers will attend festivals like Body & Soul, Electric Picnic, Belfast Mela, Longitude and the Marlay Park gigs.

We need volunteer stewards and activists to join our team. As a volunteer stewards, you’ll work as low-level security at the events with the money donated in return by festival organisers going to Oxfam’s work. As an activist, you’ll engage festival-goers with our brand new Food and Climate Justice campaign which demands that governments and big business take action to cut emissions,  help farmers deal with changing weather and make sure there’s enough food for us all.

Volunteering with Oxfam is fun and rewarding. We will support you throughout your event and not only will you get the chance to meet and work with a really great team of volunteers but you will get to enjoy the music during your free time at a festival/event or be guaranteed to see the headline acts at other events

Wondering which role is right for you? Read our FAQ on being an activist or a steward. For more information on stewarding email Laura at laura.oleary@oxfamireland.org and for more information on campaiging email mary.quinn@oxfamireland.org.

Please note that all festival volunteers must be over 18 on the day of the event and agree to these standards of behaviour. All festival volunteers will be required to attend training in Oxfam’s office in either Dublin or Belfast in advance of attendance at any festival.  Details of each training session will be sent to successful applicants.
