Climate change will not be tackled without you!

All over the world, from Bangladesh to America, from Tanzania to Australia, millions of people are standing up and demanding action on climate change. And leaders are responding. In the UK, public pressure ensured that the Government passed a Climate Change Bill. In America, years of campaigning is now paying off and a Climate Bill is finally making its way through the US Congress.

But this is just the start of the challenge before us. We are still facing a climate catastrophe.

This year, world leaders must agree a climate deal which stops runaway climate change. But it won’t happen without enormous public pressure – and that means you and your voice.

Here in Ireland, we need to make it clear to our Government that it is time for them to stand up and be counted at the climate talks. Our Government needs to know that we will no longer accept inaction.

So far, over 10,000 people have joined the Oxfam Ireland’s climate change campaign. We have strength in numbers – as more and more people join the campaign, our voice will become louder and stronger and impossible to ignore.
