Over 90,000 Oxfam supporters emailed and called Starbucks asking them to support Ethiopian coffee farmers.
Thanks in part to your efforts, a number of US and Canadian coffee companies held a historic meeting in Addis Ababa, and they have indicated their readiness to support Ethiopia's trademarking initiative. The campaign is having a widespread impact.

So what about Starbucks? After some initial foot-dragging, Starbucks has at least started paying lip service to the farmers' rights we're pushing for.
But words are not enough. Starbucks must guarantee its support by signing a licensing agreement with Ethiopia - something they have yet to do. That's why we're going to collect thousands of pictures, like the one to the right, to show Starbucks that everyday people want them to put pen to paper and sign this agreement.
