Starbucks Update

Dear Campaigner,

Over 90,000 Oxfam supporters emailed and called Starbucks asking them to support Ethiopian coffee farmers.

So what about Starbucks? After some initial foot-dragging, Starbucks has at least started paying lip service to the farmers' rights we're pushing for.

But words are not enough. Starbucks must guarantee its support by signing a licensing agreement with Ethiopia - something they have yet to do. That's why we're going to collect thousands of pictures, like the one to the right, to show Starbucks that everyday people want them to put pen to paper and sign this agreement.

Join our photo petition now! It won't take more than five minutes.

  1. Grab a piece of paper and write, "I support Ethiopian coffee farmers."
  2. Have someone take a picture of you holding your message.
  3. Send your photo to campaigns [at] oxfamireland.org, and we will upload it to our website.

We've made great progress toward convincing Starbucks to do the right thing. Let's keep moving in the right direction. We're almost there!

Thank you for your support of Ethiopian coffee farmers

Sincerely,

Campaigns Team
Oxfam Ireland
