Door-to-door Fundraising

Door-to-door Fundraising, also known as Direct Dialogue or Direct Recruitment, is extremely valuable to us and represents a vital part of our work. It is for us a very successful way to speak directly with members of the public about our work and recruit new long-term supporters.

This type of fundraising enables us to communicate with a much broader audience, reaching people who we may otherwise not have been in contact with. Committed giving – i.e. by direct debit from your bank account – is the best way to support us, as it means we have a reliable income we can count on which allows us to make long-term commitments to communities in developing countries. It is also tax-effective as Oxfam can claim tax back up to 69% on your gifts at no extra cost to you. To read more about it please visit www.oxfamireland.org/tax

About Door-to-Door Fundraising

Face to Face Fundraisers“Door-to-door” fundraising is the technique where teams of professional fundraisers visit people’s homes to talk about the charity they represent. Their aim is to help raise awareness for their charity and to collect Direct Debit or Standing Order donations.

  • Fundraisers are smartly dressed and wear a tabard with the Oxfam logo.
