At Oxfam, we believe we can end poverty and injustice, as part of a global movement for change. These are our ‘Change Goals’ – the changes to which we wish to contribute with our work:
Economic Justice
The right to make a living: more women and men will realize their rights to secure and sustainable livelihoods in the countries in which we work.
Access to Essential Services
The right to health and education: people living in poverty- especially women and girls- will make progress towards realizing their rights to accessible and affordable health care and education.
Rights in Crisis
The right to protection: all people caught up in humanitarian crises will be assured of both the protection and the assistance they require – in a manner consistent with their human rights – regardless of who or where they are, or how they are affected.
Gender Justice
The right to equality: women will gain power over their lives and live free from violence through changes in attitudes, ideas and beliefs about gender relations, and through increased levels of women’s active engagement and critical leadership in institutions, decision-making and change processes.
